It’s just shorthand though, without having to go into any great detail about the history of regional ITV. Quite a few viewers probably wouldn’t know LWT anyway.
Lots of mentions this morning, some nice shots of the building into the breaks and a cheeky GMTV logo appearance at the end
I’ve played it four times and can’t see the GMTV logo. Anyone shed any light as to whereabouts i’m looking?😂
Look on the back of the camera guys blue shirt.
Kate Garraway just claimed at the end of GMB that TLS was the "home of ITV" for 40 years... erm, technically it was just LWT until Carlton came along as they didn't have any studios of their own.

Yes, they've said the sets will remain standing for a while as a back up.

Wasn't there a mention that there would be a back up at first, I'm not sure how long it is planned to be in place for, but I think that justified the reason why they were moving earlier, plus it fits in with the return of the main presenters after the Easter holidays.

And a nice glimpse of the Get Up & Give logo too bringing memories of the 90s rushing back.

Though as I say that's probably more because it's not worth them being taken out when everything is being gutted soon anyway.
You need more than just a set to make a TV programme, just having one sitting in a studio doesn't mean they could just turn up in two weeks time and broadcast from it

Nice little tribute to TLS, and nice to see a proper closing for a change.
I’m guessing the studio would have had a bit of a revamp already if it wasn’t for the move. The desk was starting to look a bit shabby (especially with the wooden side panel continuing to fall off). I also noticed in a wide shot this morning that one of the smaller screens above the main ‘window’ is broken, and looked to be flickering.
As for the desk, it was a little throwaway line but culminated in all of the team gathering together in the final studio shot. It also showed how flimsy it was with top pulling straight off.

Eh?
And here's me thinking when it's rebuild there will still be three studios, and a main television production centre, providing over 6 hours of live weekday programming each day.
