Very 2000s in a lovely way, it’s simple, clean and beautiful.

New pres has launched. Here's a short clip from France 2, will post more throughout the day.

France 3 pres, also includes the change of set of the news studio. They're still using the old graphics until next Monday.

And one further bit of 'le rebrand' reportage from today, Tele Matin has moved studio and now comes from the France dot2(!) 12/20 hrs news studio.

Given the tight studio it used to come from, this assault on the eyes will take a bit of getting used to. Plenty of sweeping crane shots this morning to pile on the emphasis of the grand scale of the shows new surroundings.

A brilliant rebranding exercise. Very coherent but allowing each its own identity. It reminds me of the 2013 ITV rebrand at launch with everything designed to have its own image but working so well together (obviously over time things get changed).

How does the numbering of the channels work? I notice that '1' is featured but not extensively, the push in that rebrand video seems to be for '2' and '3', with '4' seeming to be a children's channel.

France 2: General channel
France 3: General channel, featuring regional programming
France 4 ( DTT channel 14): Youth channel (From children, with the Ludo programming block, also seen on France 3, to young adults)
France 5: Dedicated to societal issues
La 1ère (formerly "Réseau Outre-Mer 1ère"): Channels operating in the French overseas territories and departments
France Ô (DTT channel 19): Dedicated to cultural diversity and featuring content from the La 1ère channels for Metropolitan France
(The number 1 in Metropolitan France is taken by TF1, which was a public-service broadcaster until 1987, when it was privatized)

So the numeral isn't representing a France 1 channel. And the 2 is because it was the 2nd terrestrial channel, similarly to the UK's named Channel 4 & Channel 5 as being their terrestrial number?
