After its launch, Antenne 2 experienced a period of instability, and the look of its news changed frequently.

It's interesting they all managed to apply them so quickly, bug burners will have various preset
variations and positions, but it's almost as if all the French broadcasters had black band versions
pre loaded, (as some sort of advance united policy) ?
I wonder if black bands across the logo to show respect is something that will catch on over here and be used when tragedies happen. Seems strange to see it, but also lovely at the same time that most of the networks did it and showed a form of solidarity.

They're easily changed, most dog burners nowadays are either controlled by PC or TGA files loaded in by USB stick.

Indeed, although the first version of the 1977-and-later look didn't use a chromakey (note the unusual pan to a monitor at the 1:08 mark; Antenne 2 did a lot of experimental things like that at the time):

BTW, this was the ident used by the RTF before it became the ORTF in 1964:

A bunch of French pay TV channels have closed down recently or are facing closure. This includes TF6, Stylia and two M6 Music channels that closed down around New Year's. Later this year, Canal+ will turn off its long-running TV series channel Jimmy and its food and 'home' channels, Cuisine+ and Maison+. Meanwhile LCI and Paris Première also have uncertain futures.
Some of these channels used to be quite significant. Jimmy is one of the oldest satellite channels in France, having been on the air since 1990 and TF6 was once one of the most watched satellite channels.
AIUI, the closures are a result of increased competition from DTT and the Canal+/TPS merger. Before the merger, the channels could be paid a premium for being exclusive with either platform. Now that Canal+ have a monopoly, they don't need to pay as much and the old business models don't work anymore.
Below are the closures of TF6 and Stylia. Both occured on 31 December, neither was particularly well executed.

Stylia's was really bad. Programme end credits (in English, you'd think translating them would be done when the programme is dubbed) and then what looks like a breakdown caption! TF6 would've been fine signing off with that one minute trailer thanking viewers for watching - if it hadn't then crashed to an announcement of the closure date.
