I think it's a good way of marketing him and the programme. ITV know people think he's a controversial and "Marmite" character, and that people aren't afraid to say their opinion on him. In a way I think they're taking the pee pee out of Marjorie from Exmouth and the likes that comment "hate Pierce on gmtv everymorning much prefer ben and kate theyre so much better im going back to bbc now until you bring them back"... yet they still watch and take time to comment everyday.

I get your point, but it's still a not a good place for a breakfast show to be. GMTV presenters used to get knitted jumpers and birthday cards, not endless messages of hate.

When Susanna jumped ship to ITV for Good Morning Britain, wasn't there talk about her doing other stuff (possibly a factual show) for the channel? Did anything come of it?

That rumour was published under the same article that stated her salary as £1 million, rather than £400,000. So it was most likely an inaccurate article of nonsense.

Might it have been the Daily Mail?

Might it have been the Daily Mail?

Or the Mirror, remember when they posted a picture of the set before the launch and the caption "Not a sofa in sight" when it was visible in the image Laughing

It's 4 years today since the final incarnation of daybreak was debuted with Lorraine & Aled.

Wonder if they'll be a new logo or theme on Monday or even a new set

Series Director Erron Gordon posted a picture on his Instagram page of the Studio 5 doors last night with the caption "getting set for Monday" - the logo was the same but it's sits along a refreshed itv 'swoosh' with bold colours. I suspect there'll be some new additions such as that at the start of the titles and maybe some more colour present in the astons. I live in hope of a new desk that fits everyone round á la day 1 but I suspect it'll be just graphical changes.

I think there may be a separate desk for the newsreader, or no newsreader at all after watching earlier this week.

Or what about the newsreader in the newsroom as we saw earlier in the summer with Louisa?

Role on Monday so one way or another we can put an end to this speculation.

And probably begin speculation of a revamp in November to coincide with Piers surviving a year in a job.

Monday there will be the usual disappointment from the younger posters after anoilyrag's teases don't live up to their expectations.
