According to the newspapers and on social media, the viewers want Mark Austin to become permanent. It's not going to happen though is it...

If he thought it was that damaging for his career he wouldn't have done it fullstop or gone back. Him and Susanna would be a very credible presenting duo. I feel like a broken record on this thread but I'm sure it would appeal much more to him if the was a more newsy format and less fluff.

Ok fair enough, didn't realise that Good Morning Britain's figures were so low, and there was such a large gap.
It's been roughly the same for years. Unless BBC1 changed their format to be more newsy or brought in a presenter people just couldn't take to, it'll never change.

I'm sure he'll get over it! But in breaking news according to DS (via Broadcast) the viewing figures (average?) between 1st January and 11th May are 580,000 (GMB) v 1.5m (Breakfast). Must admit I'm surprised by the disparity!
That's OK, actually.

Dan Lobb was a much better presenter than Sean though.
What happened to Dan and Sean should be a warning to anyone offered a sport presenting role at ITV. They'll keep you for a year then drop the role.

Not really - isn't it down on Daybreak which IIRC was around the 700k mark, with GMTV around 900k towards the end.

There may be a last-minute change to the line-up tomorrow due to Piers' flight back to the UK tonight being delayed.
When I said you never know quite what's going to happen @gmb I didn't mean your non-appearance @piersmorgan 🙄 https://t.co/Ato459s7mc
