UTV sell TV business to ITV

According to twitter... tonight is the last time we'll see IVC with Julian.

I'm guessing Julian will still announce over the weekend but out of vision.

I wonder if he'll do CA out of vision and still introduce Corrie in his usual style? Would it be the same?

If Julian's only job is to announce out of vision, pre-recorded he won't last five minutes. I can't see him being bothered with that -- and in all honesty he's quite a poor announcer if viewed in purely 'voice talent' terms.

So not too long before UTV joins the ranks of ITV's "generic cheapo announcer that stays at the company for six months" continuity.

Are they gonna put the new UTV logo up for the interim or just put an ITV logo up now to save on having to take the UTV one down again to put an ITV one in its place...

Why? There moving building.

If that's happening imminently it completely puts the kibosh on any ideas of going HD on Monday!

They aren't moving building yet though, are they? I thought they were staying at Havelock House at least for another while yet?

I think its all rather complicated as aren't they still tied in with the Wireless Group (aka U105) in terms of the use of the building, staff etc until at least February.

The Wireless Group want out too, presumably after they are taken over by News Corporation there will be no need for them to have any head office functions of their own, so it would be a matter of finding suitable premises for U105?

Any ideas which other divisions/companies are housed in Havelock House?

A company called Tibus - they are a web hosting company. They used to be a part of UTV. Obviously now the TV division has been bought not sure where things lie with them. I don't see why they couldn't stay there and expand their business within the building.
