Hi all, I was aware of the delay, so it doesnt bother me, far more important things to worry about. I do find it a bit annoying, that SKYnews arent even sure (by the looks of it) when new graphics are launching.

Interesting theory - only highlights the attitude of many TVF members that any old person can shout out a random date, and apparently this has become set in stone. This leaves them frustrated at waking up at 4am to hopefully see some dramatic change, only to be left with something ridiculously similar.

hmm.

Anyone got any ideas who they'd like to fill Simon McCoy's shoes? I think Steve Dixon is still getting better, but only when he's got the right person sat next to him, ie Lorna Dunkley or Alison Bell. I haven't seen Alison for a while, is she doing more work for CNNi?

I reckon if a male porn star started newsreading he'd sound just like Steve Dixon....

I see that there is some suggestion that the Sky News Ireland bulletin(s) will be repeated overnight on Sky News UK.

Littlejohn was defending his views after The Gay Police Association raised concerns over comments made in The Sun Newspaper today.

It sounds like a Kilroy thing all over again. I don't know the full story, but Littlejohn certainly doesn't come across as a homophobic person nowadays.

Yeah, but the far-right are using this "left-wing fascism" idea in order to justify their own dangerous beliefs imo. I do have sympathy with him on this one tho.

Just a quick question on Sky News itself, are the "Central London" and "Westminster" studios the same one??

Today is the day Michelle May was due to start at Sky News, as Northern Correspondent.

Did anybody see her at all.?.

Just back from holiday.......no surprise that Sky News hasnt changed its graphics ! Lets face it, the 17th was:

a) a weird date anyway
b) just speculation
c) very unlikely considering Sky's 15th Anniversary Feb 5th

On a completely unrelated note.....I dont usually like US TV presentation but have to say that from what I watched CBS's general on screen "look" was great ! Also quite like the new UK FX presentation - shame I dont like much of the programming !

Thought Sky's state of the union coverage was rather poor - just Gordon Radley talking over the pictures from Washington.

Even the ITV News Channel mustered their Washington correspondent to provide some analysis, even though hardly anyone would have been watching.

edit @ 3.20: To be fair to Sky, they do have the Democrat house leader on now, whilst ITV NC is back to its recorded loop.

News 24 aren't showing all these other response speeches either.

lol the titles were hardly art. Just the normal titles chopped in half way through with last years State of the year titles for about 5 seconds then cut back to the normal toth titles with SPECIAL plastered underneath.

If talking about N24, must agree, every since they "relaunched" its been terrible, why do they all have to have the same music and pictures( which are all sh*te ) The old sceme provided varity, instead of this exploding globe and the rest!, OH AND WHAT THE F*CK HAVE THEY DONE TO THE WORLD TODAY ON BBC WORLD, AND FOR THAT MATTER WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO BBC WORLD!!

JOIN THE "BRING BACK THE OLD BBC WORLD CAMPAIGN, i used to love the titles, music and graphic, now there oversized, sh*te and a pain in the arse

Is she the only Northern Correspondent? If so I think It's shocking that the whole of the North of England is covered by one Correspondent. Saying that, I've never noticed any more specific Correspondent positions on BBC (National) News either.
