They kept reading negative comments out, which was odd.
Well "Piers" was trending in the UK on Twitter this morning. Whether people were saying good or bad things, he's got people talking about the show already!

You have to give them some respect, they have managed to make a terrible programme even worse. Congratulations ITV you have helped BBC Breakfast more than they could have ever asked for!

I'll be very interested to see how this works out.
To give ITV credit where it's due, it's certainly ground-breaking to introduce such a divisive personality into a slot that's traditionally either been the preserve of 'warm' personalities, or not personality-led at all.
It's certainly a first for news-based breakfast TV in the UK - and pretty rare elsewhere too (none of the big three morning shows in the US do it). That may be for good reason, of course - time will tell...

Well they've tried pretty much everything else - they have very little to lose and lots to gain.

I'm sure there's a large enough financial incentive for Ms Reid to continue working for ITV Breakfast regardless if it's Piers Moron or Ben Shephard.

I do wonder what Susanna thinks about being involved in stunt casting like this. I doubt it is what she signed up for.

Susanna is hardly in a position to complain about stunt casting. People forget to that although not Mr Popular he is actually pretty good at the job and has far more credibility than Ben Shepherd ever will.
I suspect 95% of viewers don't actually have an opinion on him - most probably wonder how that judge who used to be on Britain's Got Talent is now reading the news.

Go off slightly, the 'Earlier on Good Morning Britain' has now changed. It resembles the local news and weather bugs but with a top orange shape saying 'Earlier On' and strangely a dark blue shape on the bottom saying 'GMB'

In my opinion I thought the logo animation looked horrible. The turquoise rings which usually pulse for a transition stretched across the screen to reveal the logo which had an awful zoom on it (usually used in the opening titles). The normal logo with the pulsing white rings would have worked fine on its own I think.

It was quite interseting and different rather than just cutting to the break. I reckon they will continue tweaking the presentation until they are pleased with how it all looks.
