The weather seems to be done from either the sofa, in front of the 'sports screen', or on the stage in front of that retro 80s video wall. They should be more consistent, as it makes the TOTH/HH sequence look messy.

I agree, I think it has to do with what the '80's video' wall is being used for next. So if a band or musical performance is taking part, they will be setting it up so it cannot be done from there. Sometimes Christine & Adrian present or have/did introduce the hour from the '80's video wall' so therefore the weather has to be done elsewhere so they can come back for the top story.

I have no idea where the green screen is, and haven't seen the weather presented from the sports screen as yet. I have seen the toth weather intro using the 'unknown, screen with 4 mini screens underneath with no purpose which was mentioned on day1 '

The weather is mainly coming from the sports plasma or the 80s video wall. They did try it out at the 'useless' block of screens for one week but it seemed so small. When the weather presenter is on the sofa, its just an update of the weather, mainly at the TOTH.

I don't like the TOTH coming from the video wall though, they should just stay on the sofa, it looks better that way.

I think the Weather 'Useless screens' have gone, because they've also put lit panels behind the sports plamsa - which I'm sure uses up space: and with the reduced sofa area, that makes the 'useless screens' too squeezed for effectice camera shots.

I have to agree the set looks better: but only because I'm not forced to look at 'dark London' at 6am. Confused

Agree. It seems like the pre-2007 BBC Breakfast with Dermot & Natasha, where they used to wander between the desk to the sofa in N6 every hour.

N6? Breakfast only moved to N6 at the 2006 relaunch, and Natasha had left before that point. Do you mean the Dermot and Sian/ Kate, blue-skies and orange boxes era of BARCO video walls?

Yes, Mr House - where they shuffled twixt sofa and desk.

I forget the people involved - they are not important on BBC Breakfast; it's generally the same, no matter who presents it, although some are better than others as a team.

Sorry, the reason I brought it up was in the previous era - mainly red and white with the fake backdrop - there was a desk for the newsreader and the sofas for the main presenters. The reason I was asking is the newsreader would present the first half hour from the sofas and then the main presenters would appear, stood away from the sofas as they introduce the programme.

When they moved back to N6, did they keep up the desk-sofa swapping after the orange-tile backdrop came in, or was it just for the first few weeks?

Today there was an actual referene to the new wall, with a nice close up. There seems to be some inset shelves set in it, on with a picture of Lorraine, which she thought should be her shrine! Looks alright, and the poinsettas are looking good too. My only studio gripe is the blocks that are now on the panels, I think they look better plain!

Sorry if this has already been mentioned.
The sofa backs were also changed in October to adjust the presenter's posture

Do they still have Four Poofs and a Piano on fridays? Currently away on holiday so all these changes do sound interesting.

They didn't last week, they ended the show with a gospel choir.

Am I the only one that like the programme ending at 8:30 with a proper close, whether it be pan out with everyone on the sofa or the highlights of the day? I think it worked better to end it, and begin Lorraine as a fresh programme on the other side of the adverts.

Would it work linking up to leaving the link up to Lorraine until around 8:25, then come back for the weather & to end the programme?
