The WTA
might
be regretting moving this tournament outdoors (it was indoors last year). So much rain all week.

Some interesting scenes during the Bundesliga match between Mainz and Frieburg last night on BT Sport 1 with Jonathan Pearce and Stewart Robson on commentary having quite a bit of filling to do.
First of all kick-off was delayed by four or five minutes by fans whistling and holding up banners as part of the protests against Monday night games which have been going on in Germany all season. Then, half time came and all looked normal with players leaving the pitch and coverage going to the first half time commercial break, only to come back to find that the referee had gone to VAR in the meantime and awarded a penalty which was about to be taken. Then there were more protests just before the start of the second half with hundreds of toilet rolls thrown onto the pitch. That took about five minutes to clean up, and as soon as all the paper was eventually cleared, the fans revealed that they'd all brought a second roll each which they they then threw on!
All in all it was a wonder it only came off air 17 minutes late.

BT Sport have announced that they're going to launch a PPV channel:
but other than a logo, zero other details so far.

Later this year we plan to launch BT Sport Box Office, a pay-per-view channel which will be available on BT TV and the Sky platform.

Wonder if that will end up as PPV outlet for Box Nation?

Can't see what else they'd use it for. Wouldn't be surprised if Box Nation closes around the same time.

Frank Warren (Promoter behind Box Nation) is expanding his Boxer roster he's signed Tyson Fury in the last few days, so using this for PPV Boxing seems to make sense. Any expansion beyond Boxing would be concerning for the existing BT Sport proposition.

WWE is sometimes shown on Sky on a PPV basis. But, the only other time I can recall was Prem Plus back at the start of the century.
