I'd expected it to go at the end of the season when the deal with FTA stipulations ended, but was the plug pulled early? EPG showing Saturday's "Score" with more than generic synopsis.
But last night's CL coverage without billing? Did they need to get one more match out to meet contractual requirements?
BT Sport Showcase is no more. Score on Easter Saturday was its last programme, and as of today, it's showing a short barker loop without the L-graphic.

Remember Score is available to many on Connected TV via the Twitter apps on many CT platforms.

I don’t think the ratings for Showcase ever justified the expense, especially with an HD slot. Saying that it doesn’t help that it was never promoted.
The HD slot on COM8 would not have been that expensive, as coverage is lower, and the unreliability of the COM8 signal for some viewers during 700MHz clearance must also have been priced in (just like weaker strength satellite transponders attract cheaper carriage).
Promotion for the channel, certainly looking at BT's press alerts over the last few years appears to have stopped early in the 16-17 season.

That is indeed what was announced when the 2018-21 rights were awarded.
But the UK isn't the only place where CL is going completely behind the paywall from next season.
Afaik they have no free to air obligations in the new deal, but they will make the finals, highlights shows and the syndicated magazine programmes available for free on social media.

A thrilling game spoiled by raucous fans post-match. 9/10.
Any ratings for Liverpool v Man City last night?

Are you suggesting they did show one of Tuesday's games? Because I'm not aware that they did.
The listings information sent to What's On TV (and other outlets) said the Sevilla game was televised

It looks like it was in some billings but later dropped.
