Without messing around with pointing people towards BT Showcase, surely the answer is just to lift the shutters up of BT Sport 1 on all platforms from 7pm until a few minutes after Real Madrid lift the Champions League Trophy on final night?

I hope not.
The current look is the nicest graphics of any sports broadcaster.
Clear font, Uncluttered, simple animate on/off screen.
Why change it?

I think they stopped doing that since the WWE Network Began.
Hardly. All WWE pay per views are still shown as pay-per-views on Sky and Virgin Media.
That's the same here as in the US, where WWE pay-per-views are still available on pay-per-view despite being on the WWE Network as well.
There was a PPV only last Friday from a WWE event in Saudi Arabia.

WWE is sometimes shown on Sky on a PPV basis. But, the only other time I can recall was Prem Plus back at the start of the century.

It'll be on BT Sport 2 rather than 1.

Tech failure on today's A League Final.
Almost ten mins of play lost at the end of the game and filled by trailers.

Issues this morning ahead of the Moto3 race. 25 minutes into their pre-race buildup, pictures were lost. A slightly extended ad break followed, before they joined the world feed backup for the next 20 mins. Clumsily crashed out of the world feed as the Moto3 titles rolled, brief apology in-vision by Suzie, before throwing back to the usual commentary team with noticeably worse quality pictures.
I'm not sure why they haven't combined their comms audio with the better quality world feed backup in London. Lots of picture breakup on their own program feed - very distracting.
EDIT: Looks like they did use a hybrid for the Moto2 race. PQ suddenly improved after the usual cutaway to hide the world feed titles.

Fibre links. Who'd have 'em, eh?
With the MotoGP, as it doesn't go through a gallery in London, I don't think there was any way to get things back other than 'a bit clumsily'. The uni and world feeds don't arrive in sync, so there was no easy way to jump from one to the other. Once they went with the low-bandwidth reserve, they kind of had to stick with it until the ad break after Moto3.

Not a major one - but something has definitely gone from the logo.
