Must be a recording of the network bulletin as Chris Rogers is presenting both the BBCW bulletin and fronting the BBCNC at the same time.

Nope - it appears that BBCW is showing a five minute delay of the BBC News Channel

That perhaps explains the timing of the sports round up - it seemed a bit early in the hour and also the slightly awkward hand bag from sport. I just assumed it was to ensure a clean cut to replay the sports bulletin later.

Did anyone else notice that between Waterloo Road and Live at the Apollo, the Next on BBC1 box during the credits featured the BBC1 Christmas snowflake design?

There are some BBC One Regional Variations this evening. Most regions get a repeat of A Question of Sport at 19:30. BBC One South East gets The End of the Pier Show about Hastings Pier. BBC One Channel Islands and BBC One South West get Mystery of the Moor which is about Dartmoor

Anyone know why A Question of Sport isn't currently on the iPlayer live stream "for legal reasons"?

Due to sports rights , its never available on the iPlayer stream.

Doctors is going out with live style subtitles rather than the normal caption style. I haven't seen it for a while but I assume this isn't normal.

A while back I was watching Doctors via iPlayer and many seemed to have been taken from off air which suggested either a problem or they were delivered last minute. I thought it strange as it isn't a programme I'd have expected to arrive last minute.

I see BBC One used the Penguins ident to introduce the Winter Olympics coverage at 11.30am this morning. Glad to see they made an appropriate choice.

This year marks 8 years since the BBC One 'Circle' idents first aired back in 2006. Do you think it is time for a new look?
