On College Green today using Victoria Derbyshire branded 'director's' chairs - nice to see the programme isn't further wasting the BBC News budget.

Don't be ridiculous, everyone knows the Beeb have cutback to a shoe-string budget Very Happy

I think it would be interesting to see Global make use of this lighting style

They are quite similar thinking about it.

You can make out the Newsnight logo burnt onto the screen that Carol Kirkwood's doing the weather in front of.

Oh yes! Quite obvious too

Some new faces covering for Victoria as she takes a break - Chloe Tilley and Tina Daheley.

Never heard of Chloe Tilley. Daheley appears to be the yoof newsreader of the moment at BBC News.

Chloe used to present World Have You Say on BBC World News. She still does the radio version

My guess is Joanna will do Monday-Thursday (as usual whenever Victoria is off) and then Chloe and Tina will do one Friday each.

Has VD ever done a complete week?

Surely it's time to rename the show given she's hardly bloody there. (Yes I know she has had health problems).

Well those health problems are the reason, aren't they? Big C treatment lasts a long time, even as an outpatient. That is not to mention that she will have other commitments. Can't imagine the BBC would come across very well if they took her show away from her (even just in name), because she'd been absent due to a completely indiscriminate illness...

Considering most news channel presenters have generally done four days on air should anyone expect Victoria to be doing more?

Actually I'm pretty sure she did five days a week for the first fortnight, or three weeks, and then Joanna took over one day a week - a good while before Victoria took medical leave.

If the show wasn't branded in her name, no one would be questioning her only presenting four or fewer days a week - there are five presenters for 12 Today show slots, three presenters (plus James O'Brien) covering Newsnight five days a week, two main presenters for the BBC News at Ten...

It is amazing though how far down the pyramid in news presenting the four day week seems to go, while in radio it's not the case.

Is the show continuing on BBC News only during the Olympics?
