The issue isn't so much about the show being on BBC Two, it's more about the show running to the NC's service licence. VD has also lost share on the NC to Sky News, which shows while rolling news isn't a massive draw, there is a core audience who prefer that format instead of Derbyshire's female skewed misery magazine format.

Don't see the hate for this at all.
It's something different for the BBC. Victoria is perfectly likeable.
Rolling news isn't needed in the same volume anymore. BBC News, ITV News and Sky News all have good apps which are readily available. A lot of people would just check the BBC News app if they wanted headlines, instead of watching the BBC News channel.
