Has anything happened on the Channel Islands since the Germans left?

I hear that they shot a TV series over here with John Nettles once. But other than that no.....

(And yes every opportunity they bring that up too, it wasn't as if it ended 20 years ago or anything...)

Spotlight live from the Royal Cornwall show tomorrow evening. Always makes good television.

I'm sure this error has occurred before, but today's editions of Spotlight seem to have been renamed South West Today. Shocked

I just noticed this too. It's certainly different to having "BBC London News" in every region. Wonder how this mix up came about?

I'm sure it's happened before on Sundays. I'm assuming that whoever is responsible for creating the EPG data simply 'copies & pastes' the information for either South Today or South East Today, and then incorrectly assumes that the South West programme has a similar name, rather than actually checking.

We're always last on the alphabetical list of English regions, so I imagine that whoever is doing it gets rather bored by the time they reach us. Confused

Needless to say, there hasn't been a previously unnanounced renaming of the programme, and despite the EPG error persisting until broadcast, we were still presented with our usual edition of Spotlight. Very Happy

How come Spotlight manage to produce a full weather forecast in the BBC News at Ten and Points West only muster a summary without even a glimpse of a map? Come on Bristol, pull your finger out!

I would think that's because Spotlight has a team of 3 weather presenters, covering every bulletin from Breakfast to the Ten. Best I can tell, Points West has just 1 weather presenter.

No Bristol also have 3, Richard Angwin, Gemma Cooper & Ian Furguson. Guess they are just being lazy!

Anyone watch The Westcountry Tonight earlier? When Mattias was doing the sport, he was waving his arms about holding his script. On the back of the script you could see fairly clearly in big capital letters which looked like 'I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOU BEFORE YOU LEAVE - INDIA'. Looked really bad on air, surprised no-one in the gallery said anything through his ear piece Very Happy

The Westcountry Tonight got their timings wrong on Wednesday.

In the middle of Bob's forecast it cuts to the itv break bumper.

Did they not know there was an ad break before the News at 6.30 because of the footy?
