Why not? He only does Sky News Today 4 days a week so Sunday as well would be a normal 5 day work week by most people’s standards. And if he only wanted to do 4 day weeks then he could take Thursdays off (Could give Thursday Sky News Today to Colin Brazier to compensate him for losing the lunchtime live desk)

Dermot is a good choice for Sunday Live BTW

He is a very good choice and He is one of skys most versatile Journalists and Sky News Today is the programme I think is the best news programme on Sky News. I hope he continues with it and as you say excel99 Colin could be given one day to compensate his losing of the lunchtime live desk. However it seems a bit pointless having him come in for One Hour and I don't think he would want to go back to presenting headline summaries.

Also Natasha finishes on five on Friday she could slot in to the shift as could Matt Barbet if Sky loses the five news contract.

Mark Longhurst must have been delayed in the snow earlier - he's presenting Weekend Lunchtime, presumably since Lorna had to fill in for him on Sunrise this morning.

A new 7 day a week morning strand?

Seems to be quite a big overhaul of the schedule come January?!

I guess it could be something along the lines of Dermot presenting Sunday through Wednesday and Colin Thursday to Saturday. It would make sense to have a simplified morning schedule, presumably in the Sky News Today format.

Sounds to me like they're axing the morning Live Desk as well, and just having Sky News Today all week long, split between Dermot and Colin presenting.

Natasha's contract was with Five wasn't it not, her contract was nothing to do with Sky I thought, the News production is Sky News Confused

Live at five with Jeremy
Will Sunday live with Dermot be coming from the new studios in Millbank?

Personally I think they should have rotated it between Dermot, Colin, Tim Marshall and Peter Sharp for a period and then pick the one who is most comfortable in the role.

I wonder if Kay and Lorna will be doing the same in the afternoons- as Lorna is the Monday cover for Afternoon Live at the moment? It's about time the schedule had an overhaul. The current one just seems stale. Id like to see Anna Jones and Martin Stanford paired up again - possible in the 8-10 slot on evenings.

I always preferred Sky News when it had a two-presenter configuration. Come to think of it, there were some really classic pairings in the day...............

I wonder who will be presenting Christmas Sunrise this year? Any bets?
