Possibly a bit too much reading into it, but I don't see why it's not a possibility. Eamonn's been doing Breakfast TV for just about 17 years, and he has to then continue onto This Morning every Friday and as holiday cover.
But wasn't the whole reason Dermot moved to Sky (other than money) that he didn't want to have to get up at ungodly hours for breakfast TV. Anyway I don't think the blog suggested Dermot would be doing Sunrise, just that he might be doing the trip to the call centre next Christmas!

I think Sky is stuck in another hole with Dermot. Theres no much they can do with him outside of his contracted hours. They don't have the felibility of other presenters which can cover and do different hours.
Although they both seem willing to do extra hours, as was the case for Sunrise over the Election and Dermot for the US Elections when he went to Chicago.
Why not? He only does Sky News Today 4 days a week so Sunday as well would be a normal 5 day work week by most peoples standards. And if he only wanted to do 4 day weeks then he could take Thursdays off (Could give Thursday Sky News Today to Colin Brazier to compensate him for loosing the lunchtime live desk)
