Sky News: Presentation Discussion

Just watched a recording of last night's Press Preview. The HD picture quality was stunning - as it has been since the launch, but more significantly, when they put the articles on the screen, you can actually read the whole page and not just the headline..

It looked as thought they've already tweaked the front pages graphics. There seemed to be less of an angle this morning, making it easier to read. Perhaps they had done that before last night.

The text size on the White Straps in SD needs reducing to put more padding to the top and bottom of the white straps

He didn't have chance to be articulate, the whole 2nd half of the 'interview' she spoke over him, telling him there's no point being there and to just go home!

At the end of the day, we're all aware Sky News is a Murdoch product, which means we're all aware how they hope Conservative get in cleanly to do Murdoch's wish and ruin the Beeb. So we don't need it blatently being rubbed in our faces in such a rude manner. It was meant to be an interview, not a one sided conversation.

Argghh! How can someone afford Sky HD but not be able to afford some kind of capture card?

Peter Spencer is also there. Adam Boulton, Peter Spencer and a woman appear to be having a heated debate. Maybe someone should overdub the video with what they think each person is saying.

Funny how he realised he was in shot, so went round and moved to the other side, where he was still in shot.

Certainly the TOTH issue with presenters talking over the end of the graphic is because they aren't in Sky Centre. It's been fine all afternoon from the studio, but Andrew Wilson from Westminster spoke over the ending of the TOTH just now.

Yup, I noticed that too. Live from the Sky News Centre............with Andrew Wilson in Westminster.

Andrew later proceeded to call Adam Boulton "Adam Brown", but apologised some time later, and Paula Middlehurst back at the Newsroom called Andrew "Adam". Nice to see Paula at the newswall and - believe it or not - I fully understood her explanation of PR!
