Just thought it´s worth mentioning that Sky News Arabia has received another major graphics refresh just a couple of month after its last (see here https://www.tvforum.co.uk/forums/post1165776#post-1165776 ). Now it also lacks a lot of colour, especially blue. The dog seems to be huge and is now similar to the UK one. Remarkable that Sky News Arabia has had 4 different looks in the time Sky News UK has had just one and the same. Images of the new look can be detracted from the website and live stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gVOPpiiL3A . Quite a confusing move to me

The non-blue logo & DOG has been in place for quite a while, I thought?
And yes, Angelos Frangopolous is still the boss of SNA I believe...

That's just an editorial decision. Contrary to what some are saying, Big Ben isn't specifically chiming tonight to mark the end of the transition period so I don't think it would have added much - although it did seem a bit awkward.
Some of you may have seen in the Granada Reports thread but worthy of a quick mention here that Gamal Fahnbulleh has done his final shift at Sky News this morning and is moving to ITV Granada.
What an absolute gentleman in broadcasting this man is! @SkyNewsGamal bringing in 2021 with his final show @SkyNews - Gamal you will be hugely missed by all the team. @GranadaReports is lucky to have you! pic.twitter.com/ZLrlQURPCu
Big loss for Sky I’d say, although great move for him. I’d have liked to see him take on a regular weekday daytime spot on the channel. I wonder if there’ll be any new faces presenting slots; with Gamal going and Kay ‘away’. Speaking of presenters it’s been nice seeing Nick Quarishi presenting daytime slots recently (as well as doing some overnights) he’s a good anchor.
Probably a good move. 24 months or so ago he seemed to be popping up on the flagship shows such as Breakfast, News at Ten, among others but seems to have been used less in such slots the last year or so.
I believe he is from Manchester too, so that probably if a factor in this as well. From looking at wikipedia, it seems that he started off with ITV, went to Sky, then back to ITV then back to Sky and now is off to ITV again! I wonder if we'll see him back at some point at Sky News.
It's a loss though, he has a good authoritative voice and good delivery, shame he didn't get a regular weekday slot as you said.
