I don’t know what sort of NRCS Sky uses but NBC network wise uses iNews. I’m sure if Sky uses Sky News the rubdowns could be shared and Sky could have a more accurate sense of timings.

Sky also use iNews, so I imagine with the proper integration work carried out they could get the rundowns.

I think the trouble with this broadcast is it was presumbly arranged quite late notice, they clearly didn't have production talkback and the feed they were taking was from clearly from WNBC as we saw an ad for News 4 at 4pm. They didn't have these problems on the occasions they've aired Meet the Press, which was presumably arranged with more notice and planning.

Edit: Valley correctly points out they've moved to Open Media which escaped my memory. However I have seen recent photos from their gallery with iNews open on the producer desktops, so they seemed to have retained it in some form, even if only for the Sky Sports News bulletins.

Plus Sky aired Meet the Press on an hour delay after the first airing went quite badly.

And yes, SSN and SSN bulletins (pre-pandemic) used iNews. But during the pandemic, the main Sky News gallery has been handling the bulletins.

The owned and operated stations use OpenMedia and a few smaller Telemundo ones use the Ross Video. The network uses iNews. And the feed was WRC based on the newsroom shot and the font on the W.

Isn’t it possible to port over one NRCS to another not necessarily to edit?

Wonder if Adam is heading to the US for the inauguration?

Adam is on air from Washington right now - seems like you were right!

I’m not a huge Adam Boulton fan but he did well there. She was somewhat infamously on previously and I’ll not get political but I think the Dalia Lama would struggle to keep calm.

She was on another planet!*

*I wrote this post before watching the video, in anticipation of her being a bit nutty, I hadn’t realised he’d already used this joke.

I think already the ''backdrop'' behind her says all about this person. Done. Moving on to a more interesting topic, which might be the date of inauguration, of the new Sky News logo.

This was wild, it really made my afternoon.

I thought the background had the vague air of a psychiatrist's office. I hope for her sake that's the case

Have Sky News confirmed who is replacing Burley for the foreseeable?

Will be interesting to see how the morning slot changes brand wise, it seems on reflection dropping Sunrise was probably a mistake.

Stephen Dixon has posted on Instagram that he is doing early rundown for 3 months and then 3 months on Breakfast.

Niall for now, and it is sort-of branded as Sky News Breakfast... sometimes.
