New Meridian, BBC South & South East Thread

If only ITV Meridian had kept Glen on. I can only guess he was more freelance because of his other voiceover work etc. I miss him doing weekend bulletins too. Not the first time Mr T's been screwed by ITV.

Congrats to Belvers he has either got engaged or married as he has just shown his finger on tonight's program

Loved the filling time slip up at the end of tonight's bulletin...

Something like "And if you've just celebrated Christmas then congratulations.. that's all from us for now"


(well, it made me laugh anyway)

Not sure it was a timing slip up. He said "I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. If anyone did anything extra special [FLASHES RING] very many congratulations, for now though, Goodbye."

Oh. So that was the.. oh.. I get it now!

In truth though, there are a number of timing slip-ups on Meridian these days. ie Sangeeta.

Sarah and Paul presenting tonight and the only double pairing up and down the country... I wonder if we might be seeing a bit more of Sarah covering our main programs from now on

Bob Warman and Ann Smith presented Central Tonight together this evening.

Me being a bit pedantic then

Bob acted a bit strange tonight, he seemed in a good mood. Almost a tiny bit dr*nk.

One person I would like to see more of in the new year is Sarah. She never presented a 6pm program back in the old days of Ian and Sangers and it was good to see her the other day. I prefer her to do the weather than Simon aswell. She seams a very pleasant and very nice person.

Can any local reader spot the mistake here?
