Ah, clearly he won't be returning to media then, despite saying "I'll still be around, I won't be going far" before the amalgamation.

There has been so many 'non-news' stories on Meridian these days, it's unbelieveable. The other day there was one about a chicken that was given an ASBO for being too loud. I mean... jee.

What's made worse is the fact that Fred and Sangeeta STILL DON'T GEL together. It's just cringeable.


Sure is, I know Fred iis a TV leagend in the South but really IMO he has had his run and Ian Axton should have got the job when cuts were decided in December 08. At least he worked well with Sangeeta and he was a nice person. Perfect Team though fi I had a choice would be Helen and Ian Very Happy

I loathe Meridian Tonight now, whereas pre Feb 2009 I could'nt wait to 'tune in' both regions if I could wondering if Gemma was on the sofa (not mine unfortunatly!) or out and about, marvellous raport laughs etc... Gemma was so happy happy it made you feel happy very infectious...

The only good bit now is the new straps and the yellow background - that IS an improvment just a shame about the presenters esp Parkin who should be exterminated and the content

I seriously think you've gone too far with this Gemma obsession. She left nearly a year ago now! It's like someone interrupting the GMTV thread and finding it disappointing that Sally Meen doesn't sugar their cornflakes anymore. It's boring! Nobody wants to know about your fantasies.

Oh not again it's just light hearted silly banter but yes why not she was a good egg made me laugh nowt wrong with that, don't be so serious about it. Nothing is meant by it...It is a bit boring but never mind, so is Meridian Tonight...

Tonights late Meridian SE was quite good, suprised they would cover the story about the young child deaths and a fire aswell that must of been i think recorded after 6pm. No slip ups from Sangheeta either Very Happy

Did he?! I missed the end at 6pm yesterday evening to turn over to ITV London... did he say it in a sad tone as if he was leaving or Sangers time is up or what?? :s
