Mary Green (ex Meridian North/Thames Val) was presenting (as a one day stand in) the BBC Radio Berkshire breakfast show this morning. At one point during a plug for tonight's programme, she couldn't quite bring herself to say, BBC South Today, but instead mumbled, "....on BBC TV errrr .........South"


Oh she done anything else for BBC Radio Berkshire previous?

I don't think so, though I don't normally listen to R Berks. Only did so this morning, because my town (Basingstoke) woke up to snow this morning, a fact barely acknowledged by the station (yes I know we're not in Berks, but we are supposed to be in the station's official service area).

Trying to make a joke about tonights South story about the Fat Duck sickness bug I think it was wrong to make light of the top story. And this shows that it cant be that serious if they are trying to make a joke over it.

I just went to Meridian at 6.28 just hoping it was'nt simple Simon but unfortunately it was, laughing like crazy about cloud formations etc...travesty !

So Martyn Davies hasn't left Meridian because he has just presented Meridian Weather and hopefully he will work in the work on the main program next week with Simon.

I'm glad to hear Smooth Martyn back on Meridian. Hopefully he'll return to regular duty for sanity's sake! The weather was beginning to become a joke with Mr. Parkin. I was thinking if Phillippa Drew wasn't there to deputize perhaps Parkin would've got Edd the Duck to deputize instead! Rolling Eyes

Two words to this : Dream on ! He's only standing in as Philipa Drew is'nt available or ill etc. He'll only - maybe - appear during the week when swing your pants is on Holiday and that can't be soon enough !

Well lightning can strike twice! (To quote Fred Dinenage) Smooth Martyn's on Meridian again today instead of Simon. I was a bit shocked really but it's good to hear the weather from a true Met man (to quote Fred again!).
