I saw they reported it on the South (??) version on the late bulletin. 2.8 which is not a lot. Who was the presenter btw not seen her before...quickly grabbed the remote when swing your pants 'Hello there' came on

I think they put the wrong regions news on in each region on lasts nights bulletin... but showed the correct weather forecast... Rolling Eyes

Nice story here about jolly Gemma, so she did get the boot over Parkin then, what a shame

How nice of them. I assume once the tapes start playing there's no way to switch them around. Shame.

And was it my imagination but was the itvlocal.com DOG not on tonight's bulletin? Seems a bit quick. (Actually, having noticed no programmes are showing up on ITV Local - maybe not!)

Also noticed the phone number to get in contact has now disappeared leaving just an email address after the Maidstone address disappeared a couple of weeks ago. Maybe they were getting sick of answering too many complaints Very Happy

ITV Local.com was/is a pile of poo anyway to be honest. Yet Meridian big it up like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Interesting about Gemma - least that confirms her and Debbie were made redundant and didn't decide to just "move on" as suggested.

That is a very silly thing to say you know about itvlocal. It was excellent still is for now, just that I wish it had gone to flash so could have used it on my mac mini !

Well Meridian was the ITV region where it was created, so you could understand there. And yes the 'itvlocal.com' DOG has disappeared from Granada Reports and London Tonight from today, although it was still on Calendar.

So after about 2 years of endless promotion for the service, it has very quietly ended promotions with no mention.

It's a good idea in principle and is a BBC beater, but there are many flaws with the service, shame to see it go.

Not a very silly thing to say in my opinion. But yeah, the compatibility issues are it's main downfall.

Did they have technical problems on the late at BBC SE. Instead of the usual style weather presentation, the weather presenter Kaye was sat down behind the desk with the newsreader. She gave a short forecast but when they put up any graphics or pictures for her to comment over her microphone cut out leaving her barely audible . Confused

I wonder what the problem was with , the screens , her pack or elsewhere ?

Think it was with the graphics system in general. The titles played twice on the beginning of the bulletin too. Although they did rectify it on-screen as Kay was talking for a brief moment.

That's the second time in a week that's happened as Nazaneen Ghaffar had to do the forecast from the sofa at the tail end of last week.

I noticed on the lunchtime BBC South Today that Rachel Healey (ex Meridian South) was reporting live from Dorchester, glad she has got a job there as I always liked her on Meridian... Very Happy

Mary Green (ex Meridian North/Thames Val) was presenting (as a one day stand in) the BBC Radio Berkshire breakfast show this morning. At one point during a plug for tonight's programme, she couldn't quite bring herself to say, BBC South Today, but instead mumbled, "....on BBC TV errrr .........South"
