Amazing to have lasted so long with ITV. He's the oldest newsreader on British television at 76 - I wonder if he's now the oldest in the world? ITV Central's Bob Warman, at 72, is a close second and 46 years this year since he joined ATV.
I remember on How2 and when was on holiday in Dorset in the early 90's watching TVS Coast to Coast with Fred and Fern Britton and when back home watching YTV Calendar with Richard Whiteley - they were ambassadors of there station.
