New Meridian, BBC South & South East Thread

So this Sangeeta is from Meridian then. I had wondered where ITV Yorkshire had got her from, I presumed she was a Calendar reporter

Helen James was in tonight saying they'll be back on Monday - whether she's taken Sangeeta's place I don't know. Helen is far better in my opinion.

Anyway, Meridian Tonight SE was same old again tonight... at one point Ian didn't know what camera he was on for headline recap - awkward pause with him and Helen, then Iain McBride (yey!) was reporting live from Margate but on the split screen it said Gillingham. Such a mess!

Helen & Glen for me. It all seems so stilted and not at all natural!

Someone told me that tonights late news on Merdian was last night's stories, did Merdian bodge it tonight ?

A new look was unveiled at Breakfast. I was a bit late in capturing the opening titles, but the endboard resembled the Breakfast titles.

I did capture other elements though. The set looks as if it's the same.
