I think the Late Late Show on RTÉ could be the only place in The Republic of Ireland to get anything on Brexit because there is no special TV news coverage of Brexit Day yet. Unless the major broadcasters in Ireland do something about it at the minute. I think RTÉ Radio bulletins & other private radio broadcast stations in the country would probably have a field day with reporting about Brexit Day at the TOTH at 11pm.
The BBC are just covering the simulcast with Huw Edwards & Sophie Raworth presumably on World & the NC?
I have not found anything else regarding special coverage elsewhere from the other BBC TV channels of note.
There is no special programme on TV in the Republic of Ireland to mark Brexit Night. However Arlene Foster Leader of the DUP and Northern Ireland First Minister will be a guest on the Late Late Show on RTÉ 1. Should be an interesting interview given the night that’s in it.
Not really. All that happens tomorrow is the European Parliament is rid of Farage and Co.
Whether we agree with it or not, it is quite a big legislative change, possibly the largest for decades.
The 'European Communities Act 1972' is repealed, and all EU legislation is 'copied and pasted' into UK statute at 23:00 tomorrow.
It's more than just losing MEPs and Commissioners. The PSBs are quite rightly recognising that, and there have been some good documentaries surrounding this event.
First up: Ricky Boleto in Brussels presenting news coverage for CBBC throughout the day.
Edit comment: this is the first time I’ve realized that the younger generation will also have a view on Brexit and those of a certain age will be wondering what it’s all about. Kudos to CBBC for involving them. No other main outlet is doing this.
Because The Rising Sun is a fabulous pub and the perfect place to set-up an impromptu news studio. And it’s part of the new BBC cost cutting. Sometimes I wonder why you ask such questions......... xx
