I honestly have know idea where we discussed the initialism or acryonym policy of the BBC. But I remember NASA was spelled out Nasa. But recently it’s been capitalized.

I often wondered if this is a holding name, and if Biden wins the election could it go back to '100 Days' before a permanent name in May? something like Transaltanic Telegraph, as when the next president takes office its just over 100 Days until the next set of UK elections as well

Will the local elections in the uk even be covered that much on world as they are just local and not electing a new government or prime minister.

Great to see there’s no news at the moment.

Not to be a grouch but I wonder if the clip would be so 'hysterical' if it wasn't on a news channel. It sounds like a feature that is done (frankly much better) on something like Radio 1, and were it not a bit unexpected in its context, I don't think it would be especially notable. Sorry – by all means enjoy it, it just feels oddly self-indulgent to me.

It's 90 seconds at the end of a 60-minute broadcast, and many people compliment Katty and Christian for their chemistry. I say good for them!

I really don’t see the issue with it, they very often feature something that’s not really news at the end of the programme- something light hearted and fun, after all it’s not a standard bbc news hour so I think it should be different. They have just done a whole hour covering the latest news. I’m sure most people watching had a good laugh at it (well the comments on the post certainly did)

But we have national government elections in Wales and Scotland, devolved bodies and councils, in context of Brexit, Coronavirus and Scotland it is an important test for the union the first election since the referendum. Also, the first time the whole country has gone to the polls outside a general election, these are effectively mid-term elections

There’s no ‘issue’ with it, I’m just commenting that I find it more self-indulgent than anything, and wondered how others felt.
