A minor point, but I notice they've added some new glass to the BBC News set. Prize for the person who spots it.



Wonder why it's been added. Doesn't seem to serve any function

Is it not to stop people walking onto the track area? Perhaps guests were stepping off a bit early? Very subtly added though.

That sounds possible, also looking at other caps, it looks like the track is fairly deep compared to the platform so it could be a nasty place to trip into by accident.

The tripping thing seems the most likely reason.

The new Breaking News ident is being used now on the NC, and also a new animated strap too.

Breaking News strap reminds me of BBC One.

That full frame Breaking News still reminds me of the old BBC ONE captions over a close up of the balloon

What Steve said, in fact it looks like two lots of pres - the 'circles' next bugs which were seldom used - in fact I think they were ditched pre-launch!
