I have actually noticed that all of the trundle cam shots during this morning and afternoon seem to be having the same people sitting in all the same places throughout the day and the music also seems a tad different sounding as if it is a recorded camera shot, like on News at Five/Nine.

The trundle cam was playing up yesterday, so maybe today instead they are using recorded camera shots throughout the day.

EDIT: Also at midday and 1 the full titles were played out and cut straight to a shot of the presenter with no motion of the camera moving.

The TOTH at 12 and 1 used the full titles so there does appear to be something up with the camera.

Trundle cam was back at 2. The glass above Studio E seems to have been covered for some reason.

Blinds are closed at NBH, which Martine Croxall says on twitter is to stop the sun getting through. I think that is not the reason though.

Maybe there's a tour group from Venice visiting the newsroom today and The Editors wanted to play a cryptic joke on them.

Maybe the fact World News was in B is related.

Maybe something was going on in C that the BBC didn't want the outside world to see!

I'm sure there's a number of potentials for that, but gosh those blinds look hideous, surely they could use an alternate trundle cam move so as not to show them..

Obituary rehearsals.

Obituary rehearsals for what though?

Those blinds seemed to have gone by the 3 o’clock TOTH

I would say all news broadcasters have fairly regular rehearsals for deaths of senior figures and royalty. It just means they're prepared so when the inevitable happens it all goes smoothly.

There was some discussion of these last year: http://www.tvforum.co.uk/thenewsroom/bbc-world-news-new-broadcasting-house-38922/page-105

With the rugby overrunning, the News Channel had over 5 minutes to fill between the end of the weather and the delayed 7pm bulletin - 8 trails were played followed by a 1m 15s countdown. The bulletin started at 7.06pm.
