Well the News channel completely messed up the 7pm TOTH. They ran the silly-long titles, cut to Tim in Kiev half way through with the music being faded out early. A bit of a dogs dinner. Did someone cap it?

The BBC News at Ten had no blue lighting in the newsroom at the beginning of tonight's program. Does this mistake happen often, I don't think I've seen it before?

The lights on the pillars changed colour about 10 minutes in.

If I can remember right, when BBC News moved in NBH there pictures tag would stretch along the bottom to as long as it is needed depending on the text that has been entered, until recently the tag seems to be the same length with the text being squashed into the tag.

What has happened? How on earth would people read that?!

Bit unnecessary no? BBC News Fix makes a valid point - why doesn't the text just stretch across so it's legible on smaller screens?

Sorry for adding a bit of humour, I didn't realise UKIP has won an election and banned sarcasm. The answer to the not stretching question is that it was probably an error I mean often when I see it, it is stretched but occasionally mistakes happen. Plus it isn't important text anyway it's just to point out the copyright for the images so it wouldn't matter how large the text is - it's a legal thing.

I don't think you can call that humor...

Yes, that is the point, it's a contractual obligation they have to do so put it in the smallest text they can. I work in magazines and whenever we have to run long photo credits we always stick them in the smallest font we can and shove them in the gutter of the page, because they're not at all interesting.

Are you going to finish that thought or are the ellipse there for no reason? Well I know Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but it still is a form of humour (with a u of course).

I respect your posts in this forum DTV but the post aimed at BBC News Fix sounded more like a dig rather than a joke. Some posts can sound quite nasty towards certain members, but I'm sure that wasn't your intention.

Regarding the fact that it is a legal thing and magazines put it in the smallest text possible, it is still legible. Plus the BBC is a public broadcaster - they shouldn't be going down the road of making text as small as possible in an attempt to make people think it is their footage (although I reckon it's more likely a mistake).
