No both bulletins will be live. The BBC don't pre record bulletins and I believe the same is true of ITV/ITN -it might actually an Ofcom requirement.

The ITV bulletins I have seen 'behind the scenes' over the years have had certain portions pre-recorded, e.g. the bongs, precom, postcom and closing sequences, but never the whole thing.

BBC Scotland got half of the newsroom pan then what I presume was a live of NBH all lit up and fake snow, BBC News logo with accumulated snow on top and a message.

Vile endslate, why is the text so huge? It's the older, larger BBC News box too.

That doesn't seem to be the case any more, anyway.

I'll have a look at ITN Newsnet and find out, or maybe if its still there the ITN Source feed via NBC at 15w, I am pretty certain the whole starting sequence is still recorded though.

I wouldnt say its vile although not sure why the BBC News logo is looking different, but perhaps it was created in a separate department where they dont have access to the main graphics machine.

With the BBC doing an additional bulletin for Scotland at 11pm did both the 11pm and 11.30pm bulletin play out on the News Channel on Christmas Eve?
