You're welcome. I managed to find a clip of the programme's opening titles that I captured from BBC World back in September 2003. I've uploaded it to YouTube for you:
In case anyone isn't aware, this edition was recorded in studio N6 at TVC which was then home to the national BBC1 bulletins. In between bulletins, the studio was used to record programmes like HardTalk, Extra Time, This Week etc for BBC World.

Thanks both, must have completely missed it then. The BBC page for it doesn't seem to suggest any previous series which is odd.

The programme is either shot on location or in London - extratime is produced by the HARDtalk production team - it is nothing to do with BBC Sport.
Rob Bonnet has been the presenter pretty much since the programme started.
I thought it was odd it done in London rather than Salford. Is that always the case?

Yes. It's effectively HardTalk with a different name when it covers sports topics.
It is made by the Hardtalk production team (who are based in BBC News in London), using the same facilities as HardTalk when in a studio. It has been running for many, many years, but as others have said it is ad hoc.
It isn't made by BBC Sport, hence no real connection to Salford.

They're having a bit of a mare this evening - they lost the Seb Coe package (top story) in the Six O'Clock News with Jane due to sound issues and played it later on.
Then, just now, they lost the package due to the exact same sound issue and then lost the next package too...

It was fate telling them they should not have lead with the Seb Coe story, remember BBC News not Sky Sports News HQ.

Not a big deal, but you would have though the #BBCpapers strap would stay on screen instead of being removed everytime the name strap disappears by now, maybe a programme bug could be used like Business Live and Outside Source, etc.

A report just screwed up with the same audio problem on tonights News at Ten.
