I'm not sure the distracting sight of people going up and down the stair case with Sainsburys carrier bags, motorcycle helmets, coffees, and stuff they've just nicked from the stationary cupboard (only joking) is particularly 'World Class' ?
Let's just cover them up then, and they can project a fake empty newsroom on to the former windows? That would be world class.
If you're going to make the real newsroom part of the set, then the invision personnel need to adhere to various behavioural rules, otherwise it can look almost comically 'common' You'd never see anyone wander past with their shopping on CNN or Al Jazz
But CNN and Al Jaz have very contrived shots and newsrooms. The spiral stairs in the back of shot of the BBC News studio really are the main stairs... If you have to leave the building to go home, you walk up those stairs. If you have a carrier bag - you have to carry it... There are lots of behavioural rules about where not to stand (as there are far worse places...)
I'm sure there are, but sorry it looks crap to see people with carrier bags etc in the backdrop of a national news bulletin. It's presentation in its most basic form. Ordinary 'normal' viewers notice that far more, than the wrong font etc being used on captions, I can assure you !
This weekend they are showing Our World in that slot both days so presumably this or another of the back half hour programmes will be shown. Do World have a 1 minute summary at that 2130 UK? Presumably the news channel will take that with possibly a minute of UK based news after before the half hour programme.
Radiotimes shows that BBC News will air Newsday from 1 June at Midnight.
Interesting. So two of the three Newsday programmes will now be a regular thing in the UK? More savings but perhaps not a big deal given the timeslot. It is no longer going to be shown in some regional variations of WN around this date.

Are you saying Newsday won't be seen on some regional variations of WN such as North America? I'm hoping that's not what you meant.

According the online guide it looks like it still will be seen in North America. Just as usual Asia Business Report and Sports after the show are preempted for reruns of World News America and recorded shows such as Click and The Travel Show.

I noticed from the 31st, Newsday will not be shown for Africa, Asia Pacific and Europe. Is this a mistake?

I haven't noticed carrier bags etc. at all since they moved to BH and I watch BBC News a lot so that says something. No one cares!
I am glad Outside Source and Business Live will be coming to the News Channel we can finally hear those theme tunes as intended in surround sound
Ros Atkins tweeted the other day that rehearsals for Outside Source on the NC begin this weekend.
Why ? they are not changing the format are they?
Well I assume there will be at least some UK focus?
It's mainly because it will be coming from a different gallery to the earlier editions made for BBC World News. There's a lot of Mozart and connectivity stuff to get right with OS, not least all that touchscreen routing jiggery-pokery etc.
