Aaron Heslehurst is getting in a fair bit of a flap which is letting the coverage down a fair bit - you would think they would ask Rebecca Jones who was on the News Channel before the simulcast, to lead the coverage with Adnan.

Would have been a change due at 11. I imagine the 11 o clock presenters are standing by in E

Rebecca Jones was the 11AM presenter on the news channel.

I would imagine that this sort of breaking news would be something rehearsed fairly regularly and how to manage a simulcast.

News channel and World remain simulcasting One o'Clock news on BBC One only.

Aaron Heslehurst had a 'mare this morning, grim and unconnected at times, sadly.
Stitch08 and BBCWalesToday gave kudos

Yes... was quite taken aback by him.

Odd opting on One, Reeta did a time check, then NI went to Newsline, London stayed with E with a little more on the crash before heading to Salford for a Sport bulletin. News Channel and World still in B.

That sounds like a normal One bulletin. 30 minutes for the nations with the last ten minutes or so being for England only and now includes a sport bulletin from Salford.

Wasn't aware of that. Learn something new every day.
The simulcast is having a nightmare with the lower thirds, BBC World News haven't had any for some time now while the news channel keeps trying to reset the software, appearing and disappearing regularly.

Is their any particular reason why they use B when simulcasting coverage? Surely C or E offer more flexibility and also don't require manual camera operation (as B does)?

A simulcast now from Studio C with Julian Worricker calling it a 'BBC News special' with '5' graphics
