English regional bulletins in Breakfast are currently scheduled to return on Monday 7 September. Until then, it’ll just be Scotland, NI and Wales from July 13

Complete joke. Let again people in England are being expected to pay just as much as those in the nations to receive a poorer service. Until the nations pay a supplemental licence fee to pay for the additional local content the amount of content in the nations need to be reduced to the level for the regions of England.

Or, alternatively, until England gets its pandemic under control to the levels seen in the other nations you don't refill offices.

Scotland gets one bulletin for a whole country as opposed to England's local news setup due to the lack of devolved main bulletins. If The Nine was on at 6 we could have separate local news for Edinburgh and Lothian, Glasgow and Renfrewshire, Tayside, Aberdeenshire, Highlands and Islands, Border...

England does not have a superior or inferior setup overall. You have a different setup. It has its pros and cons.

When BBC Wales Today move into their new studio, it'll top anything we've on screen currently and Breakfast will look as tired as it's feeling these days.

What is the plan for the new set-up for Wales Today? Do you know?

The current set isn't the best on many levels, but I disagree with anyone who thinks the BBC Sport set would suit Breakfast.

The building is simply stunning. From what I've heard, the news studio will be shared with S4C with a similar set up to the current BBC Ten and Newsnight for a quick turnaround, it will be equipped with full AR. There will also be a newsroom studio that overlooks the Atrium. There are many other spots in the complex that are equipped to broadcast.

I'm spending a couple of weeks with someone from BBC Wales when I head to France at the weekend, so will dig for more info.

I had read somewhere that it was technology that was the hold up and not Covid. Whatever, BBC Wales Today in HD finally will be something to celebrate.

I'm wondering how Lucy Owen will cope when they switch to HD. Wink

Is this the one outside Cardiff Central station? If so it’s beautiful. And there’s a pret. And a Greggs.

Yes, you can't miss it. I believe you can walk through it, or at least you could pre-covid.

The Atrium is possibly one of the best I've seen.

Well. The former exasabated by the latter

It's a major leading edge IP facility, lots of issues to resolve and test, you can only do so much by remote access by the equipment vendors

You wonder if the current Wales Today set will be recycled into an English region.

That set is so beaten up, damaged and filthy, it's not fit for the rubbish tip! Thank heavens it's not shown in HD!

Apologies if this has been said before, but does anybody else think Breakfast should just move in to Studio E at NBH? It would give BBC News a more unified look and I think the branding suits the studio perfectly.
