I love everything about this rebrand. It's colourful, modern and doesn't look too young or old. I don't mind the BBC logo being top left either. Rule book? Rule book? Let them burn the flipping rule book and try something different. Good on the Beeb I say!

I have to admit, I very much agree. I rather like the new BBC3 look as well.

Agree with the two posts above. The sooner the look can be rolled out to the grown up channels and create some uniformity, the better.

Why does there need to be absolute uniformity across every channel? There is enough uniformity in the fact that the unifying logo, the BBC Blocks, appears on all of them. And while I'm not that keen on the new CBBC logo, it will work well on mobile platforms as an app logo - and that's the way a lot of the target audience access the media put out from that part of the BBC. Never did like the bugs on the CBBC Channel (though I think they're excellent on CBeebies).

There's a difference between burning the rule book and producing something which is badly designed.

I think it works well. It's very different and does abandon the rules of uniformity, but that is probably perfect for the target audience. I'm sure most children will not complain that the BBC logo isn't centre justified! What they probably will say is that they love the bright colours. It also looks quite like a logo for an app - once again perfect for the target market. Of course, we should probably ask our kids, nieces, nephews, little cousins, etc. to get a 100% accurate view of how it's gone down.

Because then everyone can stop moaning about how different everything is and start moaning about how everything's the same Laughing

Disagree strongly. Just look at the BBC One and Two boxes - they don't look right side by side at all.

Granted it's not perfect but they could be balanced with each other very easily, unlike say BBC One and BBC Two at present. Give the other channels a chance and hopefully they'll join in.

But they aren't going to be balanced, which is why this looks sloppy, lazy and unprofessional.

How do we know that? I've not seen the BBC put those 2 logos side by side yet, I reserve judgment for then.

To save money? That's certainly one of the main reasons uniformity was introduced in the first place.
