The logos are fantastic. The best Sky logos I've seen, honestly.

Something about the spacing and uniformity of them is perfect, and they're just the right mix of on-trend flat and traditional Sky-glossy.

Well done, I look forward to seeing more from you. Welcome to TVF.

I like the ident concept for Sky One, but the other logos don't look right. In particular, the background colour of the "NEWS" part of the Sky News logo is, in my opinion, atrocious.

With improvement, these will look good. In the meantime, it's 2/5 for me.

Sky News gets it's red back, and Sky 3D gets it's old gradient back. Also looking at Sky Arts again, all I see when I see the logo is "mango".

Thanks for the feedback.

Much better!

Thank you! A lot of work went into replicating the small details of the glossy Sky Europe logos.

Here's one of the original endboard designs I worked on. Excuse the terrible cutout job, but I think that this could work well for the endboard.

There's quite a lot of white space on the endboard.

Which one? Laughing They both have a lot of empty space. Personally I think the empty space looks a little better in the second design, but both have ample space in case there needs to be extra information.

I was more so referring to the second design, hence the timing of my post.

Is it just me thinking that the circles design is very Channel 5?

Whilst we're on the topic of older designs, here are some earlier endboards:

The logos are good, but underwhelming. I think that is probably a good thing... they're not in your face. I'm not sure if you really need to go any further with these.

I like what you've presented of the Sky One identity so far. I think if you're able you should focus your attention on improving this part of your mock.

I'd like to see some reconfigured versions of the circle motif. Possibly with different colours. Perhaps you could show us how you intend the graphics to form up in the idents / end boards. (If you cant animate, a storyboard will suffice)

Currently 3/5 - Execution is rough around the edges, but its a respectable first mock. I hope to see more.

PS. Always nice to see the odd pencil drawing.

These are fantastic endboard's, would be great to see you attempt the Sky Sport's endboard's.

As a suggestion for the Sky Sports endboard's (If you do them) is themed endboard's, like they did with the F1 channe in 2012 and 2013, then they would be perfect:

Overall great work!

Going forward, I've decided to focus my attention on Sky One for the time being. My main focus has been idents, and different ways of presenting and integrating the circle motif.

One idea I have floating around in my head is using the 'strips' as if they were ribbons, allowing them to move and flow more dynamically, whilst also leaving the opportunity for some nice transitions involving them.

Here's a new idea for the end of an ident. The camera zooms in to the centre of the circle, when we quickly fade to white, and then to the logo card. 'Sky' and 'HD' both fly out from the 'One' block.

(Side note: I would love to be able to animate these ideas but right now it's out of my skill set. Up there on my list of things to learn, though.)
