Also the 'Live' bug has reverted to the April 2014 - June 2014 live bug
Basically the orange 'Live' section appears first then about 0.5 seconds later the location name appears,
until a few days ago, its came on in one animation
From what Ive seen this morning, the LIVE bug now has the location name in bold and in capitals, might have been a one off, I don't know

Alex Beresford had been in rehearsals to present ITV News West Country, wonder if he'll be part of the pool of presenters to fill in on GMB. He seems to have A LOT of chemistry with the team on air, seems wasted on a few weather forecasts every once in a while.

I think Laura is a good forecaster, she'd be great presenting the show too.

I think she would be fantastic presenting. I misread the previous post about Alex. I thought you were meaning Laura was leaving.

Going a bit off the current topic, but on certain days the theme below is used but I don't understand at around 35 seconds or so the bed just cuts off and goes straight into the theme?

Depends on the length of the opener.
The theme can be played out separately (as we have seen when the opening fails badly), but normally it is played out as one whole track, with the ITV ident, bed and theme being part of one track. Depending on the length of the track, the build to the titles is a different length.

We were simply told he was beginning 'in November'. Assuming he is starting on a Monday, (which I think we can assume as we know Ben is only working on Thursday and Friday, and therefore, Piers must be working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) you've got a one in five chance it'll be tomorrow. They've not mentioned that he's starting this week which I think they would have done if it were tomorrow when he begins. Also, if I'm not very much mistaken, his recent tweets (as recent as yesterday) seem to suggest he's still in America.
