Oh wow, it really isn't just me. Normally I think all CA's sound amazing, but this chap, nice as I'm sure he is, always to me ear sounds like it's doing Cbeebies work, and it sounds really unnatural, yet he wasn't always like this...

A new season of Afternoon Classics began today, and BBC2 Wales are still using their incorrectly-proportioned copy of Copper Cut Out

He's definitely started to put it on since then to the point where it's tricky to recognise him. It really does down like he was told to come across more happy and friendly and he's decided to take the p*ss.

Anyway, a quick google finds this one didn't go down well with some on mumsnet, of all places.

Compared to the 2000 balloon ident he sounds different these days as those he is forcing his inclination.

I don't know where I've been, but I've only just seen this. How fantastic! Has it aired on TV yet?
IMO This is what should be done if they want to keep the originals - tweak them and make them more relevant to some of the programmes/strands today.

YES, its been on for the last two saturdays, mind you NI are not using it for all of Sundays line up, while Scotland for unknown reason did use it two weeks ago going into family guy at 21.45

Yep, we often give 'em stick but fair play on this one - someone made the decision that it should be replaced and took the time to source a correct one
