I got another question, trailers, I saw the trailer for Business Live, on BBC News Channel it was shown SD upscaled, a similar trailer on BBC World News was shown in HD, in fact all trailers are in HD whilst on BBC UK channels there are SD upscaled Sad

Trailers on World are played out from Redbee, trailers on the News Channel from NBH.

That would explain how there could by a difference, but doesn't explain why there should be.

Looking at a couple of tweets it seems the second edition of the papers was a bit of a farce, with the guests sharing one lapel mic. I thought the desk had backup mics built in? Or did the sound desk or Mosart have trouble?

There are backup mics - but under the newspapers. At 11m30s, Suzi touches the newspapers on the desk, and you can hear them rubbing against the desk mics.

Has the News channel been experiencing problems with the camera which normally pans the studio at the TOTH?

From 6pm, the studio wide shot has been static rather than the usual tracking shot to the screens.

Possibly related to it going off-roading the other day.

I'm not sure if it has been noted elsewhere but with a new edition of World News Today coming to the news channel (Fri, Sat & Sun at 21:00) - will this not cause problems when the BBC One news moves around the schedule? (Particularly on Saturday).

World News Today will air Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9pm to 9:30.
On Fridays, Newswatch and The Film Review from 9:30. Saturday and Sunday has Our World at 9:30.

Late news won't air till after 10, so I don't see what the problem is? World News Today won't be from Studio E anyway will it?

World News Today will be from Studio C.

Presumably the Saturday and Sunday editions will be the normal BBC World News bulletins presented by Peter Dobbie but branded World News Today.

The 20:00 GMT / 21:00 BST weekend bulletins on BBC World News have always had some interviews built into them.

I guess that is the nature of BBC World News as it broadcasts to somewhere always where the interview will be watched at a 'significant' time.

What happens if The Film Review isn't broadcast for breaking news, is it recorded afterwards for future broadcasts over the weekend?
