Decided I don't like this new look, just not right, Like something from GMB.
Sky seem to be going backwards with this and I'm going off the channel, BBC News seems more solid.
I hope they change it.
I agree, with what you said, there's something that doesn't feel right.
I dislike Sky's use of the primary colours, Blue, Red and Yellow, and on a white background it's not nice IMO. It makes it looks cheap.
I dislike Sky News because of the in sports bulletins over promotion of Sky Sports and I think the only show I think they've got right is 'Murnaghan'. Sky News Tonight was a big let down, and seems just like a branded version of any other edition of Sky News.
Some people will just be not be happy irrespective of what Sky do. Just think a couple of years ago the 15 minutes NSW was on in the slot SNT is currently in. What they are offering in the 7-9 slot is miles better than it used to be in my view.

They could have created a great show around Adam Boulton and politics, instead they turned it into a diluted rolling news show. It's also stupid how they stand up at the start in that cramped green room.

Yeah sorry, I was thinking more along the lines on an nightly hour show.I personally just think SNT is too mainstream, for what it could have been. They could have kept the name Boulton & Co. I just think they could do more to attract a bigger audience in Primetime. Yes I know they tried it before in 2005, but they were mostly just rolling news branded differently.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but the other morning during world news the ticker was off and the straps don't just disappear where it joins the ticker but they fall right off the bottom of the screen so I'm guessing that's why they have the white block under the ticker as it would look odd seeing the straps briefly as they go off the bottom of the screen. They could ditch the white block easy by making the straps disappear where they joins the ticker like they do when a Vidiprinter strap is pushed off the bottom. Think of it like PowerPoint's peek up instead of fly on. If they are going to keep it then make the whole thing go yellow for breaking news.
They have also changed the animation on this, instead of it sliding upwards when a new update is shown it now slides the previous 1 upwards a bit and the new 1 slides downwards
1 thing I find odd is when the right block hits the block on the left it stops for a second before wiping back. it would look a lot slicker if it hits the block and then fly's straight back to the right. Also it looks odd how it goes breaking news (pauses briefly) jewel arrests (pauses briefly) then fly's back to its normal position. it should just fly straight from the left block to its normal position in 1 go. it almost looks as if the computer is struggling and you get the jerky effect.
I'm pleased to see they have moved the skynews.com down a pixel too on the online stream.
2 final minor things when we get the sunrise etc title cards drop down to where the straps go there is a 1 pixel gap between it and the ticker & the FTSE graphic needs to be made a fraction bigger by a 2 or 3 pixels in height so it lines up with the logo properly.

I am delighted that someone finally also noticed that the skynews.com logo has been placed a bit too high. This has been an issue for years until very recently and as an international viewer I´d rather have the false clock than this. This pixel really makes the difference!
