Is it me or is the Sky NEWS logo moving slowly? Sometimes its not in the same place as always.

I doubt it, but it's not impossible. I remember recording the ESPN UK launch, and when I fast forwarded the programme (it was a match of some sort) you could see the DOG moving closer towards the centre of the screen, very slowly in real time. I presume they were manually moving it because they could see it was being cut off for whatever reason.

Dominic Waghorn to become Sky News Diplomatic Editor - an excellent choice I believe. Also Mark Stone announced as the new Europe Correspondent. Already announced that Katie Stallard will be taking over in Beijing. No mention on her replacement in Moscow, Dominic's replacement in Washington or the vacancy of Australia Corresponedent but presumably Robert Nisbet will be taking over one of these.

I noticed a week or 2 back that black panels had started to appear above the gallery . I saw Sunrise this morning and 22 maybe more screens have appeared but I don't really see the point in them. Who could see them up there from the newsroom? The panels ruined the backdrop but pleased to see the TV's are switched on this morning even though you can't really see anything.
Are they some of the screens used from the election studio? - think I preferred seeing the activity upstairs on the wide shots.

This looks a bit bitter than the five vertically mounted panels that were basically centered in the balcony the last few months. I'd imagine those panels were used to show their website, Facebook, Twitter, analytics and other important messages.
The panel installation looks hastily done but I'm wondering if they did it similarly to Shepherd Smith's Fox News Deck where viewers can see incoming graphics feeds, their competition and other incoming video. The big difference here is that these aren't easily viewable.
