Rehearsals currently taking place for GMB's election show.

Ranvir in the studio then. I expect it'll be Susanna, Ranvir and Tom at the desk for the TOTHs, then Ranvir will go over to the touchscreen.

And theres the podium sort of desk in the back of that shot...for Kate maybe?

A clock counting down until polling stations open has appeared where the weather bug used to be, also the screen behind Susanna and Kate was used to display the countdown too.

The countdown clock does seem to only be displayed during the 'Campaign 2015' branded segments.

STV's Claire Stewart, UTV's Marc Mallett and ITV Wales' Andrea Byrne seem to be reporting for GMB this week judging by one of today's VT's.

Third post in a row...very sorry!

One thing we've not discussed is Sean not being mentioned in the coverage brief. I hope he is out and about to add to the reporting team (which seems to get smaller and smaller as months go on!).

Would be very odd not to include him since he has played virtually every role thats on offer at breakfast time in the last year!

Sean was dropped for the Scottish Referendum last year, so I expect the same has been done with the election.

The countdown clock on the 7am TOTH was a bit dodged up as it jumped forward a day and instead of saying (24 hrs 0 mins 59 secs) it said (0 hrs 0 mins 59 secs

Is Tom Bradby going to presenting all night and then from 6AM - 09:25AM on GMB as well; in effect twelve hours non-stop?

Not saying this has not been done before I mean Philip Schofield did 24 hour Text Santa last year; it just seems a little odd considering they could have done their own show on GMB with their regular presenters?

I know Alastair Stewart is presenting ITV's coverage from 09:25 throughout the day and even doing the weekends news too.

It will be good to see Tom doing both; just a tiresome night for him.

I have just spoken to someone at Granada and Tom is doing twelve hours non stop; there will be No Regional Opt Outs suring the main programme but I am sure there will be during GMB.

It's pretty much the norm for election coverage for them to present non-stop from 10pm until the end of the election broadcast, although usually the ITV presenter gets a break for the breakfast shift. This is the first election I think where both the BBC and ITV, along with Sky, are changing their main presenter for the daytime coverage - and IMO all three have picked the better host to cover events on Friday.

Did anyone else in STV-land get Norman Macleod for the local bulletin?
