Well If you want what Brekkie calls an agenda setting Sunday show you need somebody who has actual Westminster connections and who will attract guests. I can tell you know that the majority of the either the current or shadow cabinet would not agree to do a show with Piers given his reputation and baggage.

Cameron amd Clegg both turned him down in 2010 after the Gordon Brown life stories. Sir Trevor & Mary Nightingale had to be drafted in.

That is a very different proposition to an interview on a Sunday morning breakfast show.

Interesting. I don't see a role similar to what Julie did in Election Night in 2010, unless that is what Kate/Ranvir will be doing...

So, if Tom Bradby is presenting with Susanna in the GMB studio, will ITV's overnight coverage come from ITV Studios as well, or will Tom travel over there at some point during the coverage?

That's an interesting point actually - what studio would be free for them to present from though? I guess the Lorraine/Loose Women studio could be used - a specially built set for the election perhaps?

Its interesting to see Tom Bradby co-presenting with Susanna instead of Ben though - definitely seems like ITV want the GMB coverage to emulate a hard news stance - it'll be interesting to see how they do.

I get that they're all photoshopped in, but it looks like they've skewed him too.

I dont understand why they couldn't have actually done a proper photoshoot in the studio. Would have looked so much better and not have taken a lot of effort as most of them are in the ITV studios through the week!

I would imagine that, if it was that simple, they would have done.
