GMB averaged 591k yesterday; according to the Digital Spy ratings thread.

I hope for GMB's sake that is lower than normal because that is not good at all.

Piers and Susanna on the roof for the 7am TOTH.

Kate did the opening by herself from the studio with no graphics.

Laura's weather too stopped working just before that too with a break in the OB.

I have to say I'm not a fan of Piers Morgan and so wasn't looking forward to seeing him on GMB. In an odd way though, I'm quite enjoying him on the show. I think it's the fact he's got a strong personality just makes it a more interesting and stimulating watch. He also, sadly, makes you realise how bland Ben Shepherd is. Maybe they could do with a bigger personality on the show whether Piers or someone else.

For me Piers makes an interesting watch, not just because he is a big personality, but also because he actually has a genuine opinion and isn't afraid to be slightly controversial. For so long breakfast presenters have been so nicey nice about everything and think everything is lovely and great. It feels good to have an actual opinion that is a bit different, a refreshing change.

They were on the roof for 6am open also. It seems that the video link from the roof may of went down just before the 7am open which caused there to be no graphics. It seemed to working properly after the open titles so not sure if it was planned or not.

You can watch it here:

Laura was on an entirely different roof in a different city so it may not be linked. The lack of graphics may simply be that the titles were played a little earlier than planned due to Laura falling off air, so they might not have been ready to go.

I suspect Kate did the headlines because they didn't have autocue on the roof if they were only doing a short bit of ad-lib from up there.

Susanna was on Loose Women today talking about twitter trolls and just Piers Morgan really. Seemed short but sweet.

I don't really know what was the point of having Susanna and Piers on the roof at 6:00 and 7:00. It seemed to just be "look how nice the weather is, now back to Kate in the studio", which seemed redundant as it immediately followed... the weather at :57 ish.

When I saw Susanna and Piers outside at 6, I thought they may be outside for the whole program.

The 7am open was a complete mess this morning. No graphics, the clock and logo was on the screen whilst the titles played out.

Some issues with the 8:12 local news as well, Susanna and Piers handed over, then the opening titles and music were played (the London shots, but without the date), then the news began.

The 'Entertainment' aston kept flashing up as well. Bit amateurish to be honest.

Ratings for yesterday's programme fell slightly to 560k, according to the Digital Spy ratings thread; which is surprising as whilst many not like Piers Morgan, I feel he has bought something new to the show, a bit of energy and unpredictability; and some of the interviews recently he's done have been amazing; i guess people like their breakfast shows as dull as possible. Keep him on I say!

Well you can still have strong journalism and an interesting show in the morning without having an utter moron presenting it.

'Amazing' is not a word I would use to describe his interviews.
