BBC Two 50th Year Presentation

Unlikely.... that just sounds like a generic 'keep it sweet' reply.

Actually everything is put in the BBC Duty log every day and then sent to all heads of departments and High head yins.

Mind you I would LOVE to see some of the BBC Duty logs.

Can anyone put an original air date to this BBC Learning Zone ident that has been shown overnight recently?

Is it a very recent (i.e. new) ident or part of the 2004 "seasons" package?

Ah, looks like they've dusted off the 2004 set, which featured the same tree through various seasons. The summer version is on TV Ark: http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/schoolstv/bbc_learning_zone.html

As far as I know they were used interchangeably with the 1997 ident for a couple of years and then basically forgotten.

It looks to me like part of the Seasons package judging by The TV Room, but there's no dates there.

I managed to capture some of the season idents at the time. Only the summer and the 4 in 1 seasons ident though. (1.22 onwards)

BBC Learning Zone ident (Fireworks) Video

Not sure when it first aired, but has appeared around this time over the past several years on-and-off (much like other sequences - of the seasons, Spring was seen at least a few years back, as was the version that fades between all four).

Looked until recently this year that idents in general weren't being used in the Learning Zone at all... So it's good to see the likes of this and the long version idents have resumed.

I must be going senile, because I'd entirely forgotten about this -for all of you bemoaning the lack of Paint in the current set: it was good enough to roll out in June!

As I've previously mentioned, Paint was used on Network on 14th Oct, during the Afternoon Classics slot. It hasn't been seen since, but I expect Network will continue to use it every now and again during AC.
