Description on EPG for ITV now making it clear it's hosted by two people 90% of the UK have never heard of. So did ITV ever plan to do their own thing, as listings suggested, and if so why was that dropped?

Sensible use of the network's resources if you ask me. I'd rather get coverage of the result from people this is actually going to affect, rather than using London-based names because we know them. I imagine ITV are putting up a fair amount of resources to help STV pull off such a complex live programme.

Aasmah Mir spent 11 years on BBC Radio Five Live - presenting the Drivetime show for a few years, also appearing on Radio 4 and LBC. She regularly reports for ITV's Tonight programme, and was a regular paper-reviewer on Lorraine. I think more than 10% of the UK population know of her.
To be fair given Five Live and Tonights ratings I'm probably still technically correct.
Is STV Glasgow doing anything of note - are they simulcasting the STV broadcast?
Yes. STV Glasgow will simulcast with STV between 10pm on Thursday night until 10am on Friday morning. The channel also simulcasts STV News at Six every weeknight.
Surprised that BBC Alba aren't doing anything overnight (although I imagine they'll be taking the Radio Nan Gaidheal feed, but even they aren't staying up all night) given that one would imagine that Gaelic speakers might well be the kind of people who would be particularly vocal about independence.
I can see according to the EPG that Good Morning Britain is being extended until 10am on Friday. No Lorraine or Jeremy Kyle. And then This Morning is starting earlier straight after GMB.
STV has 'Scotland - How the Nation voted' from 6am replacing GMB and finishes at 10am when This Morning starts. STV also are replacing the ITV Lunchtime News with their own half an hour bulletin.
It's quite interesting how it is dominating the whole morning on ITV/STV yet the BBC stops at 9 when Breakfast finishes. BBC One Scotland on the other hand has a Reporting Scotland special right the way up to 19.30 with only breaks for the One O' Clock and Six O' Clock News and Pointless.

Not quite correct for us here in STV-land, Scotland Decides is on from 6am-7am which I'm presuming is a continuation of the overnight programme for STV only, then Scotland This Morning - How The Nation Voted is on from 7am until 10am...
