Hinduism and Islam I meant there are two different religions.

Cheers for that. But which is the true one?

Anyway the post you were originally replying to was someone referring to people's perceptions and not his own. He's not displaying ignorance himself but is suggesting that's what you'd get from the average joe. As has been pointed out, there are Muslims that are Indian. Religion and nationally are different things.

Before they launched their English speaking channel, Al Jazeera for me was always the Arabic station that would broadcast the Osama Bin Laden videos...
I think this may be the crux of the problem in the English speaking world. A lot of less well educated would see AJ in any guise as the terrorist broadcasting channel, the channel that aired horrific hostage executions (not saying they did but it's a public perception)and that give those horrible dictators a voice. I'm not saying this is the case but it's certainly a factor.

Can anyone tell what's Martine's regular shift time, I'd like to catch a glimpse of her. Also, it'd be really fantastic if anyone did have her first AJ bulletin on Youtube.

As far as I know, no specific shifts or rosters at AJE. They operate a fluid system. So anyone can appear at any time within the monthly rota. Only the London anchors plus one at Doha have a reasonably fixed routine as they present fixed programming.

I stand to be corrected though.

When AJE launched up until 2011/12 when the Kuala Lumpur bureau was closed, AJE had rosters in all of their studios with Doha having the lion's share of talent, followed by London, Washington DC and Kuala Lumpur. The set rosters were finally taken down when the DC studio was no longer in use for news bulletins.

Apparently the roster in Doha is meant to be 4 days on 4 days off

Like everyone else, Finighan works for four days and then has four days off.
